Shikisai-No-Oka Gardens - Hokkadio, Japan.

Calling all nature lovers, walk through the blanketed meadows of Shikisai-no-Oka Gardens and fulfil your rainbow dreams! The gardens are an evolving colour explosion from spring to autumn and regarded as one of the best experiences in Hokkadio. It’s also considered one of the most picturesque flower fields in the world – it’s a blooming wonderland come to life! 

Sunflower Fields – Tuscany, Italy. 

Blossoming in June and August, sunflowers can be found by quaint towns in Italy. Most commonly visited in Tuscany, it’s time to get lost amongst the sunflowers and embrace the moments of calm…or set up a photo shoot for the picture that will catch eyes or should we say likes!

Lavender Fields - Valensole, South Of France.

Even the fashion industry has this one covered. Luxury brand, Jaquemus recently used a beautiful lavender field in Valensole for the 10-year anniversary runway show. Venture out into the prettiest lavender fields in Provence between June and July – it’s on trend! 

Bluebell Woodlands - Essex, United Kingdom.

This British spring flower is mainly found on undisturbed land where millions of wild Bluebells create fairy-tale woodlands. From March to mid May, these can be found in woodlands across the UK depending on weather. Canola Fields, Rape Flowers - Luoping, China.

Travel to Kunming, southwest China to observe miles of golden rapeseed flower fields in Luoping County from late February to early March. Due to the glorious weather, Kunming is known as the spring city. Where the blue skies end, an endless sea of yellow tape flowers begin with mountains peaking through the spring haze. There are a number of different canola fields with views you would be crazy to miss!

Miracle Flower Garden – Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Blowing all other botanical gardens out the park, this is a must see for all flower lovers. The exaggerated structures covered in natural flowers create a blooming wonderland. Could this be the most Instagramable place on earth?

Keukenhof Gardens  - Lisse, Netherlands.

With over 7 million vibrant daffodils, hyacinth and tulips, Keukenhod Gardens is one of the largest in the world.  Rows and rows of picturesque flowers within the gardens can be viewed by foot or explored on by bike. As a spring ritual for many of the locals, this can’t go unseen and it’s well worth the day trip from Amsterdam in Spring. 

Ranunculus Flower Fields - Carlsbad California.

Step out of busy LA city life and into a California king bed of ranunculus flowers in Carlsbad. Carlsbad is neighbouring beach town to LA with a chilled out vibe with plenty flowers to frolic in. Shibazakura Flower Fields - Hitsujiyama Park, Japan.

The Shibazakura flower also known as magenta moss field is only a short trip from central Tokyo with breath-taking views of Mount Fuji. Popping pinks, purples and blues carpet the ground for miles before disappearing into the distance. The vibrant fields come alive in late April and early May where people are drawn from city life to enjoy peaceful scenic views of nature at its finest.

Poppy Fields - Walker Canyon Trail, California.

Take a hike up Walker Canyon in Southern California (1 hour drive from LA) to be surrounded by an ocean of apricot, lilac and ivory poppies sweeping over the hills. These bloom for a short period over March and early April so get planning! As a Californian hotspot, it’s best to visit on weekdays to avoid crowds. For the best views and bearable temperatures aim for sunrise or sunset.
