What wedding services do you offer?

I offer luxury bespoke wedding invitation design, menus, escort cards and table plans. The more extravagant and creative I can be, the better!

When should bride or grooms get in touch with you?

As soon as possible is always good. I only take on a certain number of weddings a year now. So the sooner you get booked in the better.

How should they get in touch with you?

Via email is always best for me! weddings@lailalettering.com and a wee nudge on DM if I ever need a nudge to reply eek!

How did you get into the wedding industry?

When I got engaged. I was determined to do as much as possible myself for my wedding. What started out as just a task for my wedding grew and grew into what it is today.

How many years have you worked in the industry?

6. Wow. I've never actually counted that until now 😂

Do you have a favourite memory from previous weddings?

That's so hard I have so many. I think my most favourite is brides, particularly their mothers, seeing the invitations for the first time. When they are moved to tears it really means so much to me. A lot of work once it leaves, you don't really get to see the reaction it has but I've been lucky with a lot of my wonderful brides, we spend so much time getting every little detail perfect, that they often film when they give them to people and send it over. For my designs I work as closely as possible with the couple's to ensure they really get what they dream of, so the end result is really special for not only my couple but for me too.

What trends are you seeing for this year?

Minimalistic styles and neutral tones. I am also seeing more modern fonts and less calligraphy styles (which I can also do). I feel I'll be taking a more modern twist on the traditional over the next year and I'm excited about it!

What colour palettes do you see the most?

Ivory and gold. You can't really go wrong with that palette. Classic will never date.

You’ve worked at so many wonderful venues, do you have a favourite few?

Trump Turnberry is right up there for me! Chateau de Roberier in Provence, France
Mar Hall was where I had my wedding and the marquee was just perfect to really make the space bespoke to our needs!

Top tips for bride or groom’s to be?

I say this to all my couples, ENJOY EVERY MINUTE OF YOUR PLANNING. Nothing is worth stressing over. On the day of my wedding I wished I hadn't stressed so much because no matter what, if things go right or wrong, no one knows how it was supposed to be. Everyone is just there to embrace and celebrate you. Enjoy it all! Every part of it.

What’s your fav flower?

Lisianthus. It was in all my wedding flowers and reminds me of my Gran ❤️
