Mud is coming home for Christmas! As we rapidly approach the last eight weeks of the year, we have looked ahead to plan how we can still get into the spirit in the comfort (and safety) of the great indoors. Understandably, it is so easy to think about what we can’t do and reminisce of times before covid. However, it’s not healthy to dwell on the negatives so we want to celebrate what we can do!
Yes, we are sad that we’re unable to help you prepare for Christmas in person, but we have figured out alternative ways for us to get into the festive mood together. Christmas is SO important this year, and while the rules and restrictions may be ever-changing, we want to make sure that we can cater some cosy and safe activities to get you in the mood, and put you and your loved ones first!
First of all, we know how much we loved hosting and how much you loved coming to our workshops last year! It really breaks our hearts that we aren’t able to share these experiences in person. So, we thought that the best way to keep this going is by hosting virtual workshops for you to do safely. We are still incredibly excited as this means we are able to share our wreath workshops more widely as anyone in the UK can order a kit and make their own mud wreath at home. Our diy mud wreath kits will come with all the materials, foliage and decorative add-ons to make your wreath, plus a handy pamphlet all delivered straight to your door! We will also send a personal video link to each of you that buys our diy wreath kit so that you can build your wreath along with us in the Mud Studio. This means you have the option of making your wreath simply by following the pamphlet in your own time or you can come and join in the fun and have some giggles with the Mud team virtually. (Please note, toasty mulled beverages are not included but they are encouraged!)
Another way that mud is coming home for Christmas is through the launch of our gift boxes! These mud gift boxes are all lovingly made with the focus on self care. It has collectively been the toughest year for all of us, so we need to make sure that we are looking after ourselves so that we can look after others too. These will come in four different themes: Time to Rest, Time to Pamper, Time to Energise and Time to be Joyful. Time to Rest focuses on getting you relaxed, de-stressed and at peace with our popular scents of lavender, eucalyptus and mint. Time to Pamper is perfect for indulging yourself with delicious scents of rose and peony. Time to Energise will awaken you with stimulating fragrances of orange, jasmine, plum and rhubarb. Finally our festive box, Time to be Joyful, will get you in the mood as we bring back our classic Christmas scents! This is the perfect pick-me-up to you or your ‘someone special’.
Last but definitely not least, we are thrilled to reveal that we will be designing very special dried Christmas bouquets. These will last the whole of the merry season and beyond. It wouldn’t be a 2020 Christmas at mud if we didn’t celebrate with the dried flowers that have been such a highlight of this year. So don’t forget to follow us on Instagram where you can check out all our gorgeous designs to spruce up your home and spread the holiday cheer!
So in whichever way you decide to bring joy to your home this winter, remember that it’s okay to feel frustrated that things aren’t quite back to normal. This really is the year of “Bah, humbug!” However, we hope that mud can help you find some new ways to celebrate and hopefully make some new traditions. So, keep your eyes peeled as we continue to spread the merry mudmas spirit (with a few giveaways, too!)
